More about Villa Kitty Yayasan

Villa Kitty Foundation was founded in March 2011, and as the only dedicated cat foundation on the island of Bali, we have expanded over the years. In 2021 we started building our new shelter on 3,500 square metres of land in Banjar Tegal Bingin MAS, near Ubud, Bali. And we finally moved all our cats and dogs over by mid-February 2022.

We have a CLINIC, a temporary OPERATING room, a HOSPITAL with an isolation room for the kittens and cats suffering from the feline virus FPV aka Panleukopenia, rooms for those recovering and respiratory wards.

We have a dedicated NURSERY for the tiny kittens found tossed out in plastic bags, on the roadside and in the rice fields, three MOTHERS' ROOMS for mothers and their little ones, a QUARANTINE building for the kittens and cats going through their vaccination process and another SEVEN PAVILIONS for our older cats and kittens who have completed their vaccinations and are now spayed or neutered.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean shelter, so the viruses that kill unvaccinated kittens and cats do not have a chance to do this at Villa Kitty.

Our major project is to educate the communities around Bali to vaccinate and sterilise their cats to STOP the cruel practice of abandoning kittens and cats on the streets. We have a program in place that needs major funding to train more vets on the island to vaccinate and sterilise the cats of Bali, THUS saving the Bali WILDLIFE.

We are also developing an education program for cat owners to ensure their cats and kittens are indoors at night.
