Green Earth Cafe (GEC) offers a selection of vegan meals prepared by chefs on the premises at 13, St Pauls Square, Bedford UK MK40 1SL. Also on offer are a range of quality soft drinks (in glass bottles), locally roasted coffee specialities and teas and locally made cakes and tray bakes. Sourdough bread and foccacia are made by a local baker and most of the vegetables are bought in the market across the road from the cafe. GEC has been widely praised in reviews on sites such as Happy Cow and Tripadvisor. The staff are a team of very diverse individuals who share the owners commitment to veganism and the environment.
Key information
GEC is wheelchair accessible, children and dog friendly and hosts weekly meetings of the LGBTQ community (quizes, film nights, debates, poetry evenings and music). The cafe has been visited by celebrities appearing at the Corn Exchange next door notably John Bishop, Chris Packham (who enjoyed the cake) and Henning Wein. World class dulcimer and guitar player
